Hey there!

I’m SO happy you took the time to stop by my blog! My name is Jenn, and I’m the proud mama to three beautiful, crazy, happy boys.

In the words of those who have met them, “there’s just something about those Johnson boys!” (Hence the name of the blog!) They can grab your heart just by flashing their sweet smiles within seconds of meeting you.

There is always fun to be had with these three, whether we’re hanging around home or traveling to new places. It truly is amazing how kids can find adventure anywhere, and I love being along for the ride!

But let’s rewind for a second because my love for travel goes back WAY before they came along.  I grew up taking family vacations (usually to Walt Disney World!). But the travel bug REALLY bit me during a summer studying abroad in Florence, Italy.  A few years later, I was lucky enough to marry someone who loves to travel just as much as I do.

My husband and I had a destination wedding in 2012. From that point on, we made a pact to travel as much as we could before having kids.  In the 4 years we were married before our little ones came along, we traveled to 8 countries and 11 states. Travel really did become our love language.

Exactly 4 years later (literally on our anniversary!), our greatest adventure of all began as we started our family and welcomed our first son to the world.  We had three boys in just over 4 years! Our lives sure did change fast, to say the least.

When we had our first son, our amount of travel initially went way down.  I don’t know if it was the time, money, or just feeling uncomfortable traveling with a little one…but whatever it was, the thing that our relationship was initially built upon (travel!) took a back seat. Eventually, we missed travel too much and booked our first big trip.

On that trip, we not only learned that traveling with a baby is doable, but we also learned that we really enjoyed it. I mean, seeing this great, big world through your kiddo’s eyes is something that just can’t be put into words.

We’ve now taken countless trips with our kids, including a 2-week, 3-country European Christmas market trip with a 1-year-old and 3-year-old…and a 15+ hour road trip to Disney World with a 2-month-old, 2-year-old, and 4-year-old. (Yes, we got braver traveling with our kids as we added more to the family!)

But, of course, we’ve made our fair share of mistakes over the years. You live and you learn…and it gets easier and easier each time.

So, why did I start a blog? To help YOU skip over the nerve-wracking and mistake-making parts of traveling with your kids and get to the good stuff!

Plus, I know firsthand how busy parents are. My husband and I both work (I’m a physical therapist!), and the kids are involved in just about every activity they can be. We don’t have time to sweat the small stuff, and I know you don’t either (I mean, vacation planning should be fun…not stressful!).

Bottom line: My mission is to help parents feel confident traveling with their kids. Life’s too short to “wait until the kids are old enough to remember,” am I right?
